The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a college student (completing junior year) to fill a Legal/Regulatory Internship within the Law Department. The position is intended for a student interested in gaining exposure to legal and administrative aspects of federal and state regulation of broadband telecommunications.

The Time Warner Cable Internship Program offers college students a work experience which will create a bridge between their classroom knowledge and possible career choices. This opportunity will allow you to gain valuable professional experience within an industry leading company.
Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Essential Job Functions:

The TWC Internship Program is designed to offer a junior year student the opportunity to work with us full-time during the summer (May-August).

The student would learn how our premier telecommunications company operates while gaining valuable practical experience and understanding of how law and regulation factor into the provision of broadband telecommunications services. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Job Functions

Assist counsel, regulatory paralegals and managers with various projects that arise throughout the summer. Our interns generally gain experience dealing with a range of legal/regulatory issues and learn about our company and the services we provide. Investigate and respond to consumer complaints brought by federal and/or state agencies, engage with Universal Service Fund programs that subsidize broadband services to Schools, Libraries and Rural Health Care providers and assist with regulatory compliance filings made with federal and/or state regulatory commissions related to aggregate subscriber data, service quality, network events and changes to telephone dialing patterns due to area code changes.

Required Skills:

• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Well organized and detail oriented with ability to balance multiple priorities.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and in team setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Interest in media and communications law, the full scope of practice including corporate, commercial, programming, regulatory and litigation in a law department setting.

Education and Experience:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) program, or a graduating senior in May 2016.
