The WNET Law Department is currently accepting applications for its Summer 2019 Law Internship Program. This is a full-time, unpaid position, and is open to current law school students who will have completed their first, second, or third year of law school by May 2019. The internship will start on Monday, May 20, 2019 and continue for ten weeks, ending Friday, July 26, 2019.

WNET is seeking candidates for its Summer Law Internship Program who are motivated, passionate law students with a demonstrated interest in entertainment law, intellectual property, media-related corporate law, and/or non-profit law. Interns will work in WNET’s Law Department under the guidance of the General Counsel and staff attorneys on projects involving issues of public interest, media and entertainment, and intellectual property law. Duties will include drafting and reviewing various entertainment industry agreements and legal research on various issues.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a current law school student who will have completed their first, second, or third year of law school by May 2019.  Excellent undergraduate and law school academic credentials
  •     Strong writing and communication skills
  •     Demonstrated interest in one or more of the following areas: public interest law, media and entertainment law, intellectual property law
  •     Law students who are able to receive school credit or school sponsorship are preferred.
