Investment/production company seeks entertainment attorney with new media and business experience. Candidate should have experience in motion picture and television series development, finance, production, distribution, and advertising. Candidate will handle a wide variety of transactions and agreements, including advertising, marketing, licensing, branding, talent, promotions, endorsement, sponsorship, and media production deals. The candidate will also handle and be involved with agreements in other industries where the company develops, buys and sells Broadway shows, other theatrical productions, commercial real estate, medical devices, thoroughbred horses, etc.

The candidate will be responsible for structuring, reviewing, drafting and negotiating transactions primarily in the film, television and new media (digital technology and Internet) industries. Will draft, review and negotiate a variety of entertainment agreements, including production services, talent, digital rights, content acquisition and other similar agreements. Will work with the principal in negotiating deal terms in a range of matters. Prepare documents with precision and accuracy as if the first draft is the last. Coordinate and collaborate with outside counsel. Problem solve and think creatively. Experience in the areas of transactional entertainment law, media and technology and other relevant experience, including general business experience, is required. General corporate experience is desired. Should have a minimum of ten years of legal experience.

Must have excellent communication, writing and analytical skills. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and creative and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team. Sound business judgment. Ability to take responsibility and to work well under pressure. Ability to manage multiple wide-ranging matters. Ability to proactively identify and resolve legal issues. Good communication, analytic and organizational skills. Can work in either Morristown, New Jersey, Boca Raton, Florida, or West Hollywood, California office.
