Research Assistants Needed
Court Records Project

The Center for Media Law and Policy and the UNC Law Library are looking for 8 - 10 part-time research assistants for a study examining private and sensitive information found in North Carolina Supreme Court records. Research assistants will review these court files and catalog the types of private and sensitive information that appear in the records. Responsibilities will include reviewing court records and entering data for the study. An interest in privacy law is helpful, but not required. Research assistants must be current students of the University of North Carolina.

Candidate must be enrolled in a degree granting program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Candidate must have basic computer skills, including experience with MS Word and MS Excel. Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and have excellent time management skills.

SCHEDULE: Part-time hours per week will be intermittent throughout the year and will vary from 10 (November - December 2014 to 20 hours per week (January - May 2015).

HIRING RANGE: $7.25/hr
