Description

Internews is seeking a highly experienced and organized individual to lead a global ICT research initiative focused on online censorship and surveillance. The goal of the project is to enhance transparency and understanding of online censorship and surveillance and make this information available to those most impacted by such activities. The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall programmatic development and management of the project. He/She will work closely with a small team and international partners to develop innovative research methodologies and conduct studies around the world.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working on international development and/or international research initiatives; project management experience; familiarity with censorship and surveillance technologies;  he/she will have an ease working in international and challenging contexts and across multiple time zones in  both in the US and internationally.
