Description

This attorney will provide support to TPCi’s Media Sales (TV, home video, VOD) and Publishing (both self-published and licensed publications) teams with primary responsibility for all legal issues arising from those groups. When other members of the Legal team are unavailable, this person will be called upon to provide overflow and backfill support to the rest of TPCi’s business operations including its Merchandise Licensing, Trading Card, Marketing, and Video Game businesses.

The successful candidate will be someone who can review TPCi’s current contracts and contracting practices in this area and provide suggestions for continual improvement. This is a fast-changing field and to be successful in this role a person will need thrive on continual challenge and new experiences.

Primary Responsibilities
-- Providing legal support to TPCi’s Media Sales and Publishing departments.
-- Providing overflow and backfill support to other departments as necessary.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience
-- 4-7 years’ experience in licensing, television, publishing, or related fields.
-- Licensed to practice law in Washington State or eligible for admission to Washington State Bar (including as in-house counsel).
-- In-house experience a plus.
-- Japanese language skills a plus.

Education 
-- J.D. or equivalent from an accredited law school.
