FCA US LLC's ("FCA US") Office of the General Counsel ("OGC") Summer Internship Program (the "Program") is looking for a highly motivated, creative individual with a diverse background, superior academic credentials and significant personal achievements who will be finishing their first year of law school in 2014-15 to work in a challenging legal environment where contribution, teamwork and communication are vital to the success of the organization.

The Program is based at FCA US's world headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan and will run for 8-10 weeks (depending on the intern's availability) starting in May 2015.

A competitive salary will be offered. The intern may qualify for a housing allowance and/or travel assistance.

The Program will offer the intern an opportunity to have a variety of experiences through meaningful work assignments, observation opportunities, and social interactions. Our goal is to provide the intern with an understanding of (i) FCA US and its products; (ii) the work performed by the OGC and the clients we serve; and (iii) the greater metro Detroit area and all it has to offer.

Our Program coordinators will work with the intern to provide a summer filled with real, interesting, and meaningful legal assignments. The intern will be devoted 100% to supporting the Intellectual Property - Patents and Trademarks (IP) group within OGC. Program coordinators and the intern will periodically meet to: Review on-going assignments; receive new assignments; learn about various aspects of the OGC and/or business operations at FCA US; andreceive periodic feedback from the program coordinators.

In addition to meaningful work experiences, the Program will also strive to provide the intern with formal and informal opportunities to get to know other interns and the OGC staff. The intern may be taken to group lunches, attend department meetings or go to organized social events in the greater metro Detroit area.

Basic Qualifications

-- At the time of commencement of the internship, completion of the first year of law school at an -- ABA accredited law school
-- Strong written and oral communication skills
-- Ability to work in a team environment and to handle multiple tasks
-- Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
-- A strong technical background and demonstrated interest in intellectual property

Preferred Qualifications

-- A strong technical background (e.g., preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, -- Computer Programming, or other science such as Physics or Chemistry)
-- GPA of 3.2 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale or equivalent thereof)
-- Availability to commit to an 8-10 week program that runs from May through August
