Our organization is looking to connect with undergrads who are interested in the law, technology, and social media.

As Silicon Valley’s regional Arbitration and Mediation Center, SVAMC advances the use of arbitration and mediation by companies and individuals involved in technology and technology-related business disputes in Silicon Valley, throughout the U.S. and around the world.

SVAMC works with leading technology companies, law firms and universities in Silicon Valley, elsewhere in California, and around the globe to promote effective and efficient resolution of technology disputes and related complex business disputes. SVAMC’s corporate, law firm, academic and other professional members support Silicon Valley and its positioning as a global focal point for innovation, entrepreneurship, technology investment and the advancement of technology to improve our world.

SVAMC is looking to involve pre-law undergraduate students who have an interest in the law, technology, and social media. Volunteers and interns will principally assist the SVAMC Executive Board members and the SVAMC Administrator in discharging their day-to-day duties.

A non-exhaustive list of volunteer and intern activities includes:
1) Assisting with the preparation and planning of SVAMC programs and events;
2) Assisting with SVAMC online and print marketing and communications;
3) Engaging with SVAMC’s network of ADR professionals;
4) Assisting with SVAMC administrative activities, including reading, commenting on, and drafting documents or correspondence; and,
5) Individual research projects on the latest developments in technology and ADR.

Candidate Requirements
1) Interest in the law, social media and technology.
2) Prior classwork or work experience in social media, public relations, and/or technology fields.
3) Great references and superior grades.
4) Willingness to learn and positive attitude.
5) Team-oriented attitude, focused and driven.
