On November 11th, the Center for Media Law and Policy is joining with the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication to host Alexis Ohanian – the co-founder of reddit – for a talk and networking event around his new book: Without Their Permission: How the 21st Century Will Be Made Not Managed. The event will be held from 7:00-9:00pm, and will feature Alexis talking about his new book and doing a Q/A with a prominent UNC alum working in the technology sector.

After graduating from the University of Virginia in 2005, Alexis and his co-founder Steve Huffman started reddit, which was acquired by Condé Nast Publications in October 2006.  Alexis is still a reddit board member, but now focuses on social enterprise Breadpig, which publishes authors such as xkcd and SMBC with profits donated to worthy causes.
