The Sanford School of Public Policy is undertaking a major hiring initiative in political science, economics, and public policy. Within this initiative we are seeking to hire two political scientists at the advanced assistant professor (i.e., at least 2 years post-PhD), associate professor, or full professor level. The positions are open with respect to the major subfields within Political Science; we welcome applications from political scientists whose work connects to most major areas of public policy: domestic social policy, environment and energy, health policy, international development, international security, the intersection of technology and policy, and media and democracy. In addition, we value applications from faculty with a record of entrepreneurial research projects, a strong interest in policy engagement, and experience with innovative classroom approaches. Faculty may teach in any of our core existing programs and be part of building new professional offerings.
The Sanford School includes a full-time faculty of almost 70 and offers an undergraduate major, three masters programs, and a Ph.D. program. More information on the Sanford School can be found at www.sanford.duke.edu.
