Passionate about online speech, intellectual property, and user rights? As an Intellectual Property & Identity Policy Specialist, you are at the forefront of these challenging issues, expertly managing policy enforcement, advocating for user safety, and maintaining trust in Twitter globally.

We’re looking for a team player with a background in technology, policy, copyright and intellectual property issues. You will be responsible for enforcing, documenting and shaping policies related to IP protection at Twitter. This involves processing a large volume of tickets in addition to driving multidisciplinary projects and decisions based on data and user feedback.

You’ll work cross-functionally with a diverse, distributed team in order to streamline and optimize operational processes. A proactive attitude and particular attention to detail is absolutely essential, as is the ability to be both firm and fair. Comfort with and enjoyment of electronic communications and user advocacy is a must. We're a passionate team of intensely motivated, detail-oriented folks, seeking the same to join us!

Responsibilities

-- Process removal request letters efficiently and accurately
-- Identify trends in types of issues and help develop clear responses and policies
-- Clear, thorough, timely communication with your team and internal stakeholders
-- Evaluate, understand, apply and communicate team policies fairly, objectively and patiently
-- Document  issues, actions needed and recommendations to move forward
-- Collaborate cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders
-- Log bugs and interface with engineers

Qualifications

-- Strong organizational skills, with a proven track record of being able to manage multiple issues and tasks simultaneously to successful completion.
-- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
-- Exceptional interpersonal skills, diplomacy and the ability to work cross-functionally
-- Strong computer skills; detail oriented, organized and efficient
-- Familiarity with copyright and online intellectual property issues
-- Experience in policy, abuse and user advocacy
-- Active, passionate Twitter user
-- Previous experience with customer support and ticketing systems
-- Fluent in a foreign language (Bonus)
