Description
The Sussex Law School is a successful research-led law school, having been placed in the top 10 University Law Schools in the UK in the 2012 Sunday Times subject rankings and having scored 96% overall satisfaction level in the 2012 National Student Survey. It is undergoing unprecedented strategic growth, having recently appointed three new Chairs and made eight appointments at Reader, Senior Lecturer and Lecturer level. The Sussex Law School is now continuing its exciting phase of growth and expansion by recruiting a further sixteen new academic posts. Successful candidates will be enthusiastic, committed academics who enjoy working in a dynamic, growing department.
Some of these posts, one Senior Lecturer in Media / Intellectual Property Law, two Lecturers in Commercial Law and one Lecturer in Environmental Law are in areas which are strategic priorities for the Sussex Law School.
We also seek to appoint one Senior Lecturer and one Lecturer in Property Law; one Senior Lecturer and two Lecturers in Public Law or EU law; one Lecturer in Employment Law and one Lecturer in Legal Theory.
For the remaining posts, one Reader/ Senior Lecturer and four Lecturers, we welcome applications from candidates offering teaching in any area of law and any area of research within the broad areas of responsibilities and rights, constitutionalism and citizenship, criminal law and criminal justice, governance and solidarity.
