NOTE: J.D./M.A. and J.D/Ph.D. dual degree students in law, media and communication should consult their advisers in the School of Law and the School of Media and Journalism about their course selections.  Degree plans for dual degree students in law and mass communication must be approved by their advisers in advance.  The courses listed above have been approved as courses for dual degree students in law, media and communication to count toward the degree requirements for earning the J.D. and either the M.A. in Media and Communication or the Ph.D. in Media and Communication. Dual degree students in media law and policy may count no more than twelve (12) credit hours of approved LAW courses toward the degree requirements for the M.A. in Media and Communication or the Ph.D. in Media and Communication, or more than twelve (12) hours of approved JOMC courses toward the degree requirements for the J.D.  Dual degree students in law, media and communication may not count first-year required LAW courses toward the degree requirements for the M.A. in Media and Communication or the Ph.D. in Media and Communication.  This list is subject to change.  Other courses may be approved upon request for dual degree students in law, media and communication.
