Tree Planting

Help us kick off Carolina’s second-annual First Amendment Day! A UNC Liberty Tree will be planted next to Carroll Hall, home to the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Speakers will include Jack Boger, dean of the UNC School of Law, and Cathy Packer, faculty director of the UNC Center for Media Law and Policy. A student will read the First Amendment. Members of the University community are welcome to help plant the tree. Come and help us toss some dirt! Many thanks to University arborist Tom Bythell and his crew for making the tree planting possible. This event was organized by JOMC Professor Michael Hoefges.
