Legal Intern

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is currently looking for a Legal Intern to join our team in Research Triangle Park, NC. The Legal Intern will be assisting with drafting and managing a wide range of commercial contracts, including procurement agreements, confidentiality agreements, purchase and license agreements and channel agreements. Additionally, the Legal Intern will conduct legal research into a variety of international subject areas, including trademark law, copyright law, tax law, contract law, insurance law, employment law and corporate governance and compliance.

Responsibilities of the Legal Intern:

-- Support the drafting and presentation of company-wide legal training materials and presentations.
-- Assisting the team with general day to day activities and other projects as assigned.
-- Attend all department weekly meeting and team events.
-- Update and maintain internal databases and file systems.

Required Skills:

-- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
-- Law student currently in their first or second year of an accredited law school
-- Strong research and writing skills
-- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, co-workers, and external parties
-- Solid time management, organization, and prioritization skills
-- Ability to meet deadlines and make effective decisions
-- Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure, and be flexible
-- Ability to work with limited supervision
-- Proficient with Microsoft software applications, legal research databases such as LexisNexis® or Westlaw®, as well as the Internet

Preferred Skills:

-- Has taken courses in Copyright, Intellectual Property, or Trademark Law
-- Fluency in another language
-- Prior experience in an in-house or technical company
