Our Legal & Carrier Relations team is searching for an Attorney who will provide legal advice to the corporation concerning legal rights, duties, obligations, and privileges. The Attorney will represent the corporation in legal and regulatory proceedings, including disputes with vendors, customers, regulatory authorities and other third parties. As part of the legal team, the incumbent will be expected to prepare responses to discovery requests in pending legal and regulatory matters. They will assist with oversight of Subpoena Compliance, CDR Requests, various polcies and other responsibilities relating to the safeguarding of CPNI (Customer Proprietary Network Information).

 

Responsibilities:

-- Handles, supervises and manages company litigation.
-- Represents corporation in litigation and other legal proceedings. Reviews and analyzes pleadings, motions, legal research, evidence, discovery and other data to advise corporation of exposure and other risks associated with existing litigation, threatened litigation, proposed change in business process or procedures, etc.
-- Reviews and analyzes new lawsuits and plans and implements appropriate course of action to resolve matter while minimizing corporation’s exposure and expenditure of resources
-- Monitor and coordinate outside counsels’ handling of various business litigation matters including patent infringement litigation, trademark infringement litigation, vendor disputes and other commercial disputes
-- Prosecute and handle all collection claims on behalf of the corporation.
-- Defend, negotiate and resolve customer complaints and disputes (pre and post litigation).
-- Compile and coordinate TracFone’s production of documents and discovery responses
-- Conduct investigations
-- Review and analyze investigative reports, evidence, documents and other information to determine appropriate action required with respect to each suspected reseller/target
-- Direct outside counsel regarding acceptable settlement standards on a case by case basis
-- Advises corporation concerning transactions of business involving internal affairs, stockholders, directors, officers and corporate relations with general public.
-- Prepares, reviews, and approves business contracts and administers other legal matters.
-- Provides legal advice and support to all business departments.
-- Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations for corporation.
-- Field questions and requests for follow-up information from FCC, Attorney -- -- Generals, PSC’s, PUC’s and other governmental agencies
-- Review, investigate, negotiate and settle (where feasible) escalated customer complaints
-- Research, analyze and update (as appropriate) legal terms and conditions of service associated with company products and offerings.

 

Required ExperienceL

-- Juris Doctor Degree (JD) from accredited law school and graduation in the top 20% of the graduating class.
-- 5-7 years related experience.
